Remind Me Gently
Originally written December 18, 2003
Little toys to trip on,
Late night feeding calls,
Hand prints on the windows,
Lord, I thank you for them all.
For little fingers squeezing mine
and chubby cheeks that grin,
I praise You for this life so sweet
and pray I reflect Him.
For nothing is more precious
than this child you’ve given me,
and I want to be an example
that will reflect eternity.
So, when my world feels overwhelming,
and I forget that life’s a gift,
I pray You’ll remind me gently,
and give my eyes a lift.
