God Still Answers

We doubt God.
We ask Him for things, not truly believing
He will give them to us.
It’s not that we don’t believe He can,
but that He will.
We don’t truly expect Him to answer;
and when He does in subtle ways,
we pass it off as a coincidence
or an off-the-cuff remark, like,
“You’re an answer to prayer!”
Because God doesn’t always answer us
the way we expect Him to,
we miss out on His quiet blessings.
He’s still answering,
maybe we need to pause and listen.
