Meditation Moment

I’ve struggled with God before, having a similar plea as Moses. “…If You don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.” Exodus 33:15 NLT Basically, “God, don’t make me do this without You!”  Once you have that personal connection with God, you KNOW you will fail without His presence and leading—whatever He asks you to do.

I love how Moses gets it when he says, “How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” Exodus 33:16 NLT  In other words: without God, we’re just like everyone else. It’s neat to see how well Moses understands there’s a need to be set apart, to be seen as different—for the glory of God and His purpose.

PRAYER
Lord, please help me strive for that same quality in my life and my relationship with You. Thank You for setting each of us apart. May our time with You reflect in how we meet the needs of others around us today…this weekend…this coming week. Amen.
