The Greater the Wisdom

“The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.”  Ecclesiastes 1:18 NLT

The more knowledge we obtain, the more we understand about sin and it’s destructive forces and repercussions that cannot be undone without the blood of Christ. The burden of this knowledge would be too great a weight without the love of Christ in our lives!

On a more positive note: “…God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”  Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT. 

So we trust God working in our lives and through the heaviness that comes with increased knowledge, because He’s big enough to carry us through that, too!
