First Known Surgery

Genesis 1-3

Have you ever wondered what caused people to think up the possibility of surgery? I have. It’s not in my natural thinking to imagine opening someone up and “fixing them.” But, before medical school, there had to be someone discovering/learning that God made our bodies to heal. How? Look here in the second chapter of the Bible: we see God administering natural anesthesia and performing the very first surgery. How have I read this at least five times and not connected the dots? And get this: no infection crept into that operating environment, because sin hadn’t entered the picture, yet. Mind blown!
