God Sent Me Here
Genesis 43-45
Interesting how a guilty conscience can make us assume the worst of every situation when we aren’t right with God and those around us. Genesis 43:18 NLT demonstrates this perfectly. “The brothers were terrified when they saw that they were being taken into Joseph’s house. ‘It’s because of the money someone put in our sacks last time we were here,’ they said. ‘He plans to pretend that we stole it. Then he will seize us, make us slaves, and take our donkeys.’”
But, when we make things right in our relationships, God encourages us just like Joseph encouraged his brothers, “…’Don’t quarrel about all this along the way!’” Genesis 45:24 NLT As much as we can tend to grumble about how life plays out sometimes, God wants us to maintain a positive attitude and focus on what He is doing in our lives. As Joseph pointed out, “…It was God who sent me here, not you!…” Genesis 45:8 NLT And as Proverbs 16:9 NLT confirms, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”
May you have a blessed day!
