He Knows Us By Name

Exodus 33-35

How neat would it have been to hear these words audibly, directly from the Lord? ”…I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.” Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬ You know everything is going to be OK when the Creator of the Universe says it’s going to be. And, then He adds, “…I know you by name.” Exodus 33:17 You know you matter when someone knows you by name, and here God is affirming Moses’ worth.

I love how Moses acknowledges the importance of God going with them on their journey. ”How will anyone know that You look favorably on me—on me and on Your people—if You don’t go with us? For Your presence among us sets Your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Reminds me of the song lyrics, “Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go!”
