The Old Testament sacrifices seem to be a replica designed to symbolize Jesus on the cross, the Perfect Sacrifice. ”…[your offering] must be a male with no defects. …the Lord will accept its death in your place to purify you, making you right with Him.” Leviticus 1:3 NLT And, these earthly sacrifices became “…a pleasing aroma to the Lord,“ Verse 9.
