Confident Peace
“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” James 1:17 NLT
“…when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” Psalms 56:3 NLT
I’ve dealt with some form of ADHD my whole life, long before ADHD was even a “thing.” I’ll be brutally honest. My mind doesn’t do well with waiting. My brain is wired to keep my mind moving, doing, seeing progress; and waiting often means having to be patient, not always seeing forward momentum, and trusting God with what feels like spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast. But, despite, my penchant for taking control and making things happen, I’ve learned that it’s OK to not have answers and quietly wait for God to show me the next step, without the need to rush ahead of Him. I don’t have to be anxious about an unknown future, because it’s not unknown to God. I can trust Him, be calm, and wait on Him, having full and confident peace that the outcome will glorify God. 💕
