Guilty

Leviticus 5-7

”When you become aware of your guilt…you must confess your sin.“ Leviticus‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Notice: it is our job to confess what we’ve done wrong. We have to acknowledge our part and take responsibility.

And ”…[if] you lie while swearing to tell the truth, or you commit any other such sin…you are guilty. You must give back whatever you stole, or the money you took by extortion, or the security deposit, or the lost property you found, or anything obtained by swearing falsely….“ Leviticus‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sad thing is, you can’t give someone back stolen time or restore someone’s defamed character that resulted due to your slander. Only God can redeem that. But when we are culpable, we must at least try to right the wrong, to whatever extent that may be. That is what we are called to do.
