In The Wilderness

“…So Moses recorded their names in the wilderness of Sinai.” Numbers‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I find this interesting. They hadn’t just won a Superbowl championship. They didn’t have buku awards sitting at home announcing world-renowned musical achievements. They didn’t hobnob with elitists in the land. The Israelites’ presence alone warranted their names being recorded and remembered. In the lowest part of their journey. Amidst the unknown outcome of their futures. With grit and sand between their toes, God has Moses document their existence. Literally, in the wilderness.

And how do you survive the dusty winds of life? God shows us it’s under the banner of family. “Each tribe of Israel will camp in a designated area with its own family banner.” Numbers‬ ‭1‬:‭52‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I’m thankful for the family in which God placed me, because He knew this is where I would grow best.
