The Testing

Judges 3-5

The Lord tested the Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan. “He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle.“ Judges‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Think about that for a second. What is life like for someone not ready for the fight of their life? Taking this thought to the next level: if someone isn’t prepared for battle, how will they know how to depend on God and be able to fight off the devil’s attacks? Appears God knows what He’s doing, though I’m sure the testing felt anything but fun.

I love this next verse: ”But when the people of Israel cried out to the Lord for help, the Lord raised up a rescuer to save them….“ Judges‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ He ALWAYS comes to our rescue when we cry out with a repentant heart.
