But did you catch this part? They had been “waging war for a long time to accomplish this,” because “no one in this region made peace with the Israelites except the Hivites of Gibeon….” Joshua 11:18-19 NLT God never promised that fighting the enemy would come easily, only that victory would come.
But get this. In the end, “…the land finally had rest from war.” Joshua 11:23 NLT
