Lord God of Heaven’s Armies

2 Samuel 4-7

“And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies was with him.” 2 Samuel‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Lord God of Heaven’s Armies has to be one of my favorite titles for God. The imagery that comes to mind is astounding! And this same God of David is still fighting for me. Hallelujah!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

“And David realized that the Lord had confirmed him… for the sake of His people…” 2 Samuel‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ God sees. He knows. He is protecting and guiding and leading.

“…The oxen stumbled, and Uzzah reached out his hand and steadied the Ark of God. …So Uzzah died right there beside the Ark of God.” ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭6‬:‭6, 7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ As hard as it is for me to imagine why God got angry over this and killed Uzzah, as it seems it may have been a reflex reaction on Uzzah’s part, maybe it has something more to do with obedience. God didn’t need Uzzah to steady the ark when the oxen stumbled. Something to think about.
