None Like King Josiah

2 Kings 23-25

“Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since.” 2 Kings‬ ‭23‬:‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Yet, a couple verses later we read: “While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Neco, king of Egypt, went to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah and his army marched out to fight him, but King Neco killed him when they met at Megiddo.” 2 Kings‬ ‭23‬:‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬ We will never understand until we get to Heaven why God allowed Josiah to be killed like this when He could’ve protected Josiah. I did note: there are many details missing in this story. That being said, God is in the details.
