Rebuilt from Ruins

Ezra 8-10

“I assembled the exiles at the Ahava Canal, and we camped there for three days while I went over the lists of the people and the priests who had arrived. I found that not one Levite had volunteered to come along.” Ezra‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Really, Levites? Not one?

These words really resonated with me: “But now we have been given a brief moment of grace, for the Lord our God has allowed a few of us to survive as a remnant. He has given us security in this holy place. Our God has brightened our eyes and granted us some relief from our slavery. For we were slaves, but in his unfailing love our God did not abandon us in our slavery….” Ezra‬ ‭9‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Hallelujah!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

“Instead, He caused the kings of Persia to treat us favorably. He revived us so we could rebuild the Temple of our God and repair its ruins. He has given us a protective wall in Judah and Jerusalem.” Ezra‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thank you, God, for showing us your favor! Thank you for rebuilding our shattered lives from the collateral damage and ruins. 💕
