Seek and Find

1 Chronicles 28 & 29, 2 Chronicles 1
“…learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek Him, you will find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” 1 Chronicles 28:9 NLT This tells me I play a part in having an intimate relationship with God. It is my job to seek for Him. In doing so, God promises He WILL be found. He only rejects those who choose to walk away and stay away from Him. He will pursue me as long as I haven’t permanently closed the door to Him. He wants a relationship with me, but He allows choice, because that’s what true love does. He knows my heart, my thoughts, my plans. He will work with a willing mind, whose whole heart is seeking to do His will.
Something else to ponder: “But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to You? Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us!” 1 Chronicles 29:14 NLT
