Hope Anew

Psalms 78 & 79

“So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.” Psalms‬ ‭78‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬ It is so important to teach our children the ways of God, or the world will teach them something else.

“O Lord, pay back our neighbors seven times for the scorn they have hurled at You. Then we Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will thank You forever and ever, praising Your greatness from generation to generation.” Psalms‬ ‭79‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Not gonna lie. It bothers me that there’s this mentality of “you do this THEN we’ll praise You.” God does not need to do a single thing to be worthy of our praise. We praise Him simply because of who He is.
