Making and Keeping Promises

Ecclesiastes 5-8

“It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬ It is equally bad to never promise anything because you have no intention of keeping your word, and no one can count on you for anything.

“And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I’m claiming that good health part, too busy living life there’s no time to brood over the past. It’s gone. I’m still here. God is good.
