A Merciful God

Jeremiah 7-9

“But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols.” Jeremiah‬ ‭7‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I love how God has boundaries. He won’t be walked all over. He sets a great example for us to follow.

“But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know Me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah‬ ‭9‬:‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
