Strength for the Weary
Isaiah 40-44
“He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:29, 31 NLT Oh, how I look forward to that day! Today has been one of those days of feeling weak and powerless. It was nice hearing God say He’ll provide strength for my weariness.
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NLT
“He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.” Isaiah 42:3 NLT
“… Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are Mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:1-2 NLT
“…No one can snatch anyone out of My hand. No one can undo what I have done.” Isaiah 43:13 NLT There are comfort in these words.
“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NLT These verses were meant specifically for me today in the dry wilderness surrounding my thoughts. Thank you, Jesus, for reminding me I am not alone.
