A Passionate God

Ezekiel 28-30

“Give the people of Sidon this message from the Sovereign Lord: ‘I am your enemy, O Sidon, and I will reveal My glory by what I do to you. When I bring judgment against you and reveal My holiness among you, everyone watching will know that I am the Lord.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭28‬:‭22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Reading passages like this for the longest time has almost made me angry. Why would someone record God as an enemy? But then it came to me. God is not an enemy to those who aren’t doing evil, those not disregarding Him and disobeying His rules. This passage is actually showing a very passionate side of God, a God defending those He loves. I can totally get on board with a God who fights for me and protects me. Absolutely!
