Daniel 7-9
“Then I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for several days. Afterward I got up and performed my duties for the king, but I was greatly troubled by the vision and could not understand it.” Daniel 8:27 NLT It astounds me how passages in the Bible read differently as you have experiences in your life that change your perspective. Normally, I would’ve glazed over Daniel 8:27, but it stood out to me, showing how stress and fear affected Daniel. He literally got sick!
“Every curse written against us in the Law of Moses has come true. Yet we have refused to seek mercy from the Lord our God by turning from our sins and recognizing his truth. Therefore, the Lord has brought upon us the disaster He prepared. The Lord our God was right to do all of these things, for we did not obey Him.” Daniel 9:13-14 NLT Deserving of the fallout. Daniel understood God’s reasoning and accepted the punishment for their actions. This is important to true repentance.
