Finish the Task

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭8-14

“This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: ‘Be strong and finish the task!…’” Zechariah‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace. Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.” Zechariah‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Yes, God hates everything that stirs up strife and discord, everything that takes our focus off of Heaven.

“Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet He is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.” Zechariah‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Prophecy already fulfilled!

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies “…will erase idol worship throughout the land, so that even the names of the idols will be forgotten.” He will “remove from the land both the false prophets and the spirit of impurity that came with them.” Zechariah‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Hallelujah!!

“And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—His name alone will be worshiped.” Zechariah‬ ‭14‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬
