They Will Not Go Unpunished

Amos 1-5

If you haven’t caught the common theme of Amos it is this: God has a thing for calling out people who “have sinned again and again,” and He says over and over, “I will not let them go unpunished!“ So, next time you feel the weight of life or injustice pressing down on you, don’t think God doesn’t see or that He doesn’t care. You will be vindicated in His time. Don’t let earthly situations turn your heart away from the godly endgame.

With God’s punishment, the “…fastest runners will not get away. The strongest among you will become weak. Even mighty warriors will be unable to save themselves.” Amos‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For I know the vast number of your sins and the depth of your rebellions. You oppress good people by taking bribes and deprive the poor of justice in the courts.” Amos‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ God sees the injustice in the court system. Don’t think otherwise.
