On the Third Day

Matthew 20 & 21

“‘Listen,’ He said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence Him to die. Then they will hand Him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day He will be raised from the dead.’” Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I have never understood how the disciples could be in Jesus’ actual presence, see him raise people from the dead with their own eyes, hear these words, and be without hope. Three days. Waiting a lifetime for His return is one thing, but for doubt to set in within three short days? Just goes to show how real the darkness is when Satan enters the picture and distorts the truth.
