Temptations

Luke 4 & 5

“When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left Him until the next opportunity came.” Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Isn’t that just like the devil? He was just waiting for the next opportunity. He wants to see us fail. So it only makes sense that he wanted to take Jesus down and destroy Him.

Wanting to be like Jesus, we are to follow in His footsteps: “Then Jesus went to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and taught there in the synagogue every Sabbath day.” Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Is it any wonder why the devil tries so hard to keep us from worshipping on Sabbath? He knows it means something to God. It’s an extra special time that’s been sanctified and made holy.
