The Trap

“Then the Pharisees met together to plot how to trap Jesus into saying something for which He could be arrested.” Matthew 22:15 NLT Oh, how I can relate to this verse! Knowing that anything you say “can and will be used against you in court,” twisted in ways that takes everything out of context. And, yet, here Jesus is not falling into the trap. I envy His ability to circumvent the circumstances—and to do it with such honor, dignity, and truth. “…Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” Matthew 22:21 NLT
