Waking to the Thought

Written October 12, 2024

Dates and time marked by numbers fall off the calendar as familiar faces blur into memories, reminders of lessons learned and discoveries made—a beautiful life in the making, marked by tragedy and tears, yet highlighted by joy and personal victories.

I often long for friends and conversations left sitting in the past, a simpler time that seemed so insignificant in the having, but impressions that have molded, shaped, and forged through trial the me that is standing here today.

What ifs sometimes poke and prod my mind, leaving me to wonder what may have happened had I selected other options when it came my time to choose; but, because I prayerfully contemplated each decision I made, no matter the collateral damage left by unforeseen storms, regret is not and will never be my companion. Thank you, Jesus!
